Crunchy chocolate goodness, a great way to use left over cornflakes! A biscuit in NZ is the same as an American cookie. An American biscuit is more like what the Brits would call a scone!

Afgan Biscuits

Biscuit
 200 g butter
 75 g sugar
 175 g flour
 25 g cocoa
 50 g cornflakes
Icing
 1 tbsp butter
 1 tbsp boiling water
 50 g finely grated chocolate
 225 g icing sugar

Cut butter into cubes and let soften at room temperature. Mix butter and sugar, beat to a cream.

Once combined mix in flour and cocoa

With a spoon stir the cornflakes into mix

Put raised spoonfuls on a baking paper lined tray

Bake at 180'C (350'F) for 15 minutes

Let biscuits cool before trying to move or apply icing.

Icing

Dissolve chocolate with water and add to butter

Stir in sifted icing sugar and vanilla

Apply to cooled cookies
